Castle Located somewhere in Scotland, the Hogwarts Castle, also known as Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft & Wizardry, is a spanning castle with magical foundations. This impressive castle has many towers, hidden rooms, dungeons, and of course classrooms. The castle is simply saturated with magic. One needs to watch their step--quite literally, as at least one staircase has a vanishing step halfway to the top which will trap the unwary. Hogwarts boasts seven floors above the ground floor, with a number of towers rising impossibly high above that. Below the main floor, with its vast entrance hall, ornate marble staircase, and watchful suits of armor lie the dark and chilly dungeons. Secret passageways, hidden doors, and unexpected corridors connect everything, but as things have a tendency to move about, getting lost is inevitable. Lake and Grounds Area In between classes, the sprawling grounds around the castle all the way to the Forbidden Forest is a great place to relax and study outside the castle. With lots of shady trees and the great lake in the middle, this is where one can get away from all those pesky professors- and find a bit of privacy. If you’re lucky, you might just see the giant squid, Merpeople, and a wide assortment of fishy aquatic critters. The grounds are also where one might practice their use of wands, and settle duals. |

Forbidden Forest As its name suggests, the Forbidden Forest is a dark, foreboding place of shadows and danger. Much is unknown here, but the trees grow thick, and there are creatures running wild. Among these creatures are Centaurs, at least fifty of them. Gryphons, as well as Hippogryphs, Unicorns, a three headed dog, werewolves, thestrals, trolls and so much more. It is rumored that there is a settlement of Acromantula spiders here, but they may have been wiped out by Deatheaters. Students may be punished if they go into the forest- or else, the forest may be punishment for others on detention. Going in without a guide is next to suicide. |

Diagon Alley Located just off Charing Cross Road, Diagon Alley is London's finest source for a wizard's every need. Here you will find Flourish and Blott's, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, The Leaky Cauldron, Knockturn Alley, and more recently, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes has opened at No. 93. One enters Diagon Alley by way of The Leaky Cauldron pub, which is located between a bookshop and a record store on Charing Cross Road. Access to Diagon Alley from the pub is through a back exit and a magical gateway set into a brick wall. Sub-board: Knockturn Alley |

Hogsmeade As the only all-wizarding village in Britain, Hogsmeade is located along the railway line in the Scottish Highlands. Shops in Hogsmeade offer wares one can find nowhere else, except perhaps Diagon Alley. Shops include: Honeydukes Sweet Shop, Scrivenshafts, specializing in quills, parchment, and ink, and Dervish and Banges, where magical equipment and supplies of every kind can be purchased. Zonko's Joke Shop has recently closed, but there are rumors of the shop's reopening under new management, The Three Broomsticks, Madam Puddifoot's Tearoom, The Hog’s Head, and The post office provides owls of every type for sending messages or packages. It is located along the High Street. Another fascinating place to visit is the Shrieking Shack- The reputed most haunted place in Brittan. Sub-board: The Tipsy Hippogriff |
