Appearance: Balthazar is a man worn with stress. His hair is riddled with grey hairs, and his face creased with wrinkles. He has the appearance of a working man, his skin tanned and his hands rough. His eyes are of the baby blue variety, which stand out on his aged face. He is however, rather thick and in shape; he's a larger man, but not so much that he can't be agile when he needs it.
Personality: More often serious than not, Balthazar isn't the sort to crack jokes or poke fun. He has one job to do in life and that's what he sticks to doing. He's a bit hard headed in nature; he has his views in life scratched in stones and that's how they're going to stay.
History: Balthazar lacks any sort of tragic past to really justify his job choice, though he does come from a generation that largely discriminates against the beast known as the werewolf. His parents are happily aging together back in Sweden, his sister in France. None of his friends had been ravaged by the beast of the night, nor an immediate family. His years at school were normal without any major incidents. After leaving Hogwarts he found himself with the best marks in Defense Against the Dark Arts and in need of a job. With a bit of research and talking around, Balthazar landed himself a job in the Werewolf Capture Unit of the Ministry of Magic. Through this employment he discovered the true horror of the werewolves; finding them to be ruthless killing machines, not worthy of living among others. Nevertheless, after a few years working with the capture unit, he quit and purchased a pair of Irish Wolfhounds, Donleavy and Anlan, to start his own little 'extermination team' with a 'capture to kill' policy.
Though he mainly worked by himself, he eventually began working as a 'Hitman' of sorts so that he could purchase more equipment and dogs. A few years after his first purchase of dogs, he acquired another three. Taggert and Muriel (Irish Wolfhounds) and Conry, a Russian Wolfhound. These dogs were aptly trained to track and bring down werewolves both in human flesh and furred flesh.
With the aid of more hunting dogs, Balthazar was found to be quite a success, apparently one that was under the radar of the Ministry as well. As the years churned by, he continuously upgraded his hunting stock and equipment, becoming possibly the number one threat to werewolves all around.
