Personality: Cunning, calculating. a planner, Batcock relies on his brain more than his brawn (even though he is strong and can hold someone down) and is a meticulous planner. His plans often involve pitting people against each other so that they become cornered or drifted away from the main group. He is good at what he does, and is proud for it (and does not take criticism well) and considers his job an 'art form'. Has a sadistic streak a mile wide, if there is a way he can make the experience of being captured for someone as mentally painful as it is physical, he will go out of his way to do so. He does not tolerate incompetence and failure from those beneath him.
History: Batcock Burke came from a former death eater family, forced into seclusion and obscurity after the Second Wizarding War. Burke ended up graduating from Hogwarts as a classic Slytherin alumni, the last of his family to do so (he had an older brother). His entire life and school career, he had been taught that it was because of muggleborns and other non-pure wizarding families that caused the downfall of his once proud family name. As a result, he was not immediately hired by the Ministry of Magic (after the war, they had become considerably more tolerant). As a result, he took a job as a dog trainer in London and an associate at Borgin and Burkes at Diagon alley.
With the new Minister in 2048 taking more of his side on the matter of blood and purity, Batcock applied to be an agent for the Magical Law Enforcement Agency. He was assigned, once hired, to a patrol at Hogsmeade. He became known for his ability to pick out 'troublemakers' and his so-called swift and efficient system of justice (beatings and cursing). There he noticed a rise in the population of werewolves and animagi in the student body, and he reported this finding to the Minister.
As of 2050, he has been involved in multiple raids on the village outside of Hogwarts and heading attacks in the south of England to root out undesirables. Burke has been appointed the deputy of a 'snatcher' team assigned to Hogwarts and to begin to process of sweeping the north of the country.
