Name: Charlotte Rose Hammond (Lotte for short)
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Birthday: 4/15/1992
Height: 5'6
Weight: 120 lbs
House: Hufflepuff
Wand Type: cherry and unicorn hair, 11 inches
Blood: Muggleborn
Pet: shorthaired tortoiseshell cat named Maude
Favorite Subject: Charms
Least Favorite Subject: Potions
Patronus: Horse
Boggart: Her breaking her legs
Appearance: Slender, lanky, dancer-like build from all those years of dancing lessons. Fair skin with various moles, the most obvious ones being a line of three down her neck. Oval-shaped face. Red hair, leaning a bit towards brown instead of strawberry blond, which is very curly and is down to the middle of her shoulders; becomes frizzy during winter months. Brown eyes. (see avatar for picture)
Personality: Bright and clever, she's near the top of her class in her house, with her Potions and DDA grades bringing them down. She struggles because of the subject matter, not to mention the sometimes rank smell and ingredients in potions. Kindly and genial towards housemates and most of her superiors, she can be intolerant of Ravenclaws, as a result of an 'incident' that occured in her first year. A champion of fair-play, she too is wary of Slytherins because of their questionable fairness record. However, as most Hufflepuffs are, she will -eventually- give everyone a chance. Those Ravenclaws and Slytherins just have to work a bit harder.
A bit of a health nut, she exercises by taking dance and running, as well as avoiding butterbeer and other sweets (except on special occasions). Not much of a party person, she would rather practice charms or read than go out at night. There are exceptions, however, since when she is taken out, she finds that she has a great time. She is stubborn and structured in her ideals, but is occasionally swayed.
A loyal friend, she'd go to the ends of the earth to help. That is , unless it involves breaking the rules. Heaven forbid she do that. Being a hard-worker, she would hate to have her work ad position destroyed because of one mistake.
Overall: loyal, wary, polite.
Friends: Gets along best with Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs.
Enemies: Has a dislike for Ravenclaws and Slytherins.
Backround: Born to a Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Clara Hammond, the couple didn't realize they had brought a little witch into the world. For the first five years of her life, little Charlotte was a normal girl, going to preschool and taking dancing lessons as directed by her mother. However, her magical abilities unveiled themselves when she made a ball float at home in front of a friend. Her parents were certain something was different about their child, but kept her talents under wraps, and living a normal childhood up to age 11.
She was accepted into Hogwarts, and was sorted into Hufflepuff. Within her first week of school, she was in conflict with a similarly aged girl in Ravenclaw, who mocked Charlotte for both her ancestry and house. Furious, she eventually got into a fistfight with the girl, having her nearly kicked out of school. From then on, although still very upset and vengeful towards that girl, Charlotte began to stil to the rules and live a quiet existance at Hogwarts.
